Outreach
Academic
The Lead Outreach Worker role is vital within the Virtual School. AfC Virtual School's Lead Outreach Worker is a qualified teacher who works collaboratively across a diverse range of services and schools locally, regionally and nationally.
The Lead Outreach Worker is dedicated to raising outcomes for children in care and supporting partners to champion the education of Looked After Children. The Lead Outreach worker addresses barriers to educational attendance, supports pupils in schools and monitors progress for our children and young people.
Wellbeing
We meet the Wellbeing needs of our CLA through delegated funding of therapeutic interventions within our schools. Additionally, through strategic funding of services such as targeted deployment of our Educational Psychologists and Equine Therapy projects.
Further we work collaboratively with colleagues in other services and make referrals to obtain appropriate interventions e.g. CAMHS.
If you require Outreach support please contact AfC Virtual School on 020 8831 6037.
